I felt supported by will through every part of my recovery, no question was ever a silly question and I was fully supported to find out the answers I needed, Will explained how the process of recovery workes in the brain. This has led me to be more understanding of good days also difficult symptom days. Will helped me to find tools that would help me complete tasks without looking as if I was recovering from a brain injury, which as a survivor is very important to me, the tools I learnt and the things I learned about how the brain works are tools that I will forever use and I’m so glad to have learnt them, will’s work with myself and Husband was 2nd to none and I would always say “everyone needs a Will” will was always positive about how my recovery would be and he was correct he knew I could do it and surported me in real world every day steps and tasks. Very smart very helpful and a one of a kind amazing person, I will never forget the help and surport he showed me even on down days when I couldn’t see it myself he helped me to see and stick to the plan in a gentle way and got me to my new best self, “everyone needs a will”
Thank you a million
I worked with Will on a complex acquired brain injury case. Will was a great MDT team member often suggesting and implementing really effective useful OT therapy ideas. Will was able to work collaboratively with the Physio on manual handling, mobility and activities of daily living which highly benefited the client. Will understands the client’s needs and works proactively to address goals and needs. I highly recommend Will.
Will was brilliant with my client, who had severe cognitive difficulties and challenging behaviour. He earned my client’s respect. He gave useful advice to the team about communicating with him and his level of understanding. He also had positive feedback from another, very different client, when he worked with her to help manage her fatigue. She described him as the person who made the biggest difference and I noted a positive change in her approach to life after seeing him for a block of therapy.
I began my career as an Occupational Therapist in 2006. I have worked within the NHS and within the private sector. Most of my career has been spent in the specialist neurorehabilitation field.
